Brent Music for Mental Health: Adults with Learning Disabilities

Adults with learning disabilities and their carers are invited to join RPO musicians for fun, creative music workshops specially designed to provide stress relief and mood lifting for participants and carers alike. At each monthly drop-in session, participants will get the chance to meet professional musicians and work together with other participants to create brand new pieces of music and song. You’ll be supported to try out instruments, sing, copy patterns and devise melodies, lyrics and rhythms to create brand new pieces of music.

Led by specially trained RPO musicians and Workshop Leaders, sessions are appropriate for adults with a wide range of learning disabilities who enjoy meeting and working with others, and all music will be tailored to fit the skills and interests of the participants attending each session.

No prior musical experience is required to take part, and all genres or types of music will be explored. Instruments will be provided.
