Are you keen to be part of a committed, dynamic leadership team at one of the world’s most celebrated arts organisations? Could you use your professional skills and networks to help bring an orchestra to the widest possible audience, nationally and internationally? Do you share a passion to ensure everyone has access to orchestral music whether in the concert hall or through participating in one of our community and education programmes in schools, communities, care settings and prisons.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) is seeking to recruit two enthusiastic and engaged Non-Executive Directors to join its Board with a particular interest in, or knowledge of, fundraising, digital engagement, or capital building projects. This non-executive voluntary role offers a rewarding opportunity to share your expertise and experience in a dynamic orchestra and contribute to decision making alongside amazing musicians who are at the heart of the organisation. The RPO is keen to welcome a diverse range of skill sets and talents, fresh thinking and lived experience that are representative of the communities it serves, across the UK and internationally.

Non-Executive Directors bring professional knowledge and expertise that help the RPO realise its overarching ambition to enrich lives through orchestral experiences that are uncompromising in their excellence and inclusive in their appeal.

The recruitment process will take place from January to February 2025 and it is hoped the new NEDs will be in post by Easter 2025.
