Snapchat and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) have created an innovative, AR lens, The Colours of Music. This groundbreaking project uses cutting-edge technology to translate live music into vibrant visuals, offering a truly multi-sensory journey. But what went into creating this extraordinary experience?

On 29 October 2023, we were thrilled to welcome a group to our Icons Rediscovered: Elgar’s Symphony No.1 concert at the Southbank Centre with Vasily Petrenko. They were taking part in Creative Playground Crawley’s ‘Come With Us’ project - an initiative which encourages Crawley locals to "experience new things" by joining the Creative Playground staff in attending shows, exhibitions and creative events in Crawley, Brighton, London and other places in Sussex and Surrey.

For 30 years, RPO Resound has been at the forefront of using music-making to enrich the lives of people in communities across the UK and internationally. 2023 marked RPO Resound’s 30th Anniversary, and we explore some of its life-changing projects that will continue in 2024 and beyond, hearing from musicians, practitioners and participants about the impact RPO Resound has had, and looking ahead to this next exciting chapter.
