Viola

Born in Essex, Jonathan Hallett started playing the viola at the age of sixteen. He went on to study at the Royal College of Music and Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

On leaving college, he was appointed Sub-Principal Viola with the Orchestra of Birmingham Royal Ballet and also with the English String Orchestra. Jonathan joined the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's Viola section in 2010.

In his leisure time he enjoys walking, warm beer and watching cricket.
