Cello

Roberto Sorrentino joined the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's Cello section as No.4 in 2005.

He plays on a Joseph Hill cello dated to 1768 and enjoys playing in various chamber ensembles, teaching privately and getting involved with the RPO's amazing Resound community and education programme.

Aside from playing the cello, Roberto loves all things European, from cinema and theatre to cooking and travelling, and is about to become an Italian citizen so that he and his three adult children can travel and live freely in Europe.

Roberto gratefully acknowledges the support of his Chair Patrons, Tim and Victoria Whiting.
