The concert opens with the overture from Tchaikovsky's famed Romeo & Juliet, a sweeping musical depiction of Shakespeare's tragic tale of young love. Violinist Esther Yoo then takes the stage to perform Bruch's sumptuous and lyrical Violin Concerto No.1.

To close the concert, experience the thrilling emotional peaks and valleys of Prokofiev's powerful Symphony No.5. From its tense, foreboding opening to its life-affirming conclusion, you'll be carried through a kaleidoscope of emotions.
