Legendary and award-winning Indian composer Ilaiyaraaja makes the live debut performance of his historic Symphony No. 1 – ‘Valiant’ at the Eventim Apollo, London.

The release of Symphony No. 1 – Valiant on 26th January 2025 marks a groundbreaking milestone in global music history as the first full Western classical symphony composed in the UK by an Indian artist. This momentous achievement highlights Ilaiyaraaja’s unparalleled artistry and cements his legacy as a trailblazer across cultures and genres.

Revered as one of the greatest Indian composers of all time, Ilaiyaraaja—often celebrated as the "Maestro"—boasts a colossal career spanning over five decades. He has composed more than 8,500 songs and written music for over 1,523 feature films in nine languages, an unmatched feat in the global music industry. Additionally, he has penned lyrics for over 1,500 songs, lending his own voice to more than half of them.
