Over the past two weeks the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has toured in cities across Germany and Belgium with artists Jan Lisiecki, Daniel Müller-Schott and Lucas and Arthur Jussen under the baton of Music Director Vasily Petrenko.

On Tuesday 4 October the RPO's Community and Education team, RPO Resound, visited Thorpe Park alongside 8,553 schoolchildren for a day celebrating STEAM education - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. RPO musicians lead activities that engaged the children with orchestral music with interactive performances, trying out musical instruments and having opportunities to make their own compositions.

On Sunday 23 October we performed the first Mahler concert in our Journeys of Discovery 2022-23 London Season at the Royal Albert Hall as Music Director Vasily Petrenko conducted Symphony No.8, 'Symphony of a Thousand' to rapturous applause.
This month the Orchestra embarked on a tour to Europe with Music Director Vasily Petrenko, spanning Slovakia, Croatia, Poland, Lithuania and Greece. Joined by soloists Simon Trpčeski, Sergei Krylov and Anastasiya Petryshak, the Orchestra perfomed music by Beethoven, Sibelius, Bruch, Prokofiev, Wagner and Grieg.
